Adolfo J Lara, known by his pseudonym AJL, is a Mexican artist, director and photographer, currently residing in Los Angeles.

Drawing constant inspiration from one of the most vibrant cities in the world, as well as vintage comic books and the works of René Magritte, Erwin Wurm, Spike Jonze and Harmony Korine to name a few, AJL chooses his sense of humor to be the driving force behind his art. According to him, the best pieces are the ones that made the viewer’s day, made them laugh or at least made them smile.

His playful take on everyday life and thoughts combined with the immediacy of graffiti captures the true essence of street art.
